Dallas: CBS11 touts right wing film festival

This is NEWS? They promo this right wing film festival http://www.afrfilmfestival.com/ and don't even MENTION the Take Back Democracy film festival going on the same weekend?

They suck.

Time for a nasty note.

2. I'm Visiting Texas This Week

I'm glad our hotel has DirecTV - I can pretty much avoid the local stations.

But it was funny the other day - I overheard another guest giving the desk clerk a hard time because they don't carry Faux News on the hotl TV system - just CNN, Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, and Bloomberg. I guess the poor little dittohead couldn't stand one day of having to think for himself...

6. I'm in Hillsboro Until Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I head back to Colrado, via Fort Worth, Wichita Falls, and Amarillo. We'll be in Dumas tomorrow night.

While I was down here, I missed seeing Max Cleland in my home town - Pueblo, CO. :-(

although I wasn't home to watch it, so maybe they didn't show it. Anyone know if it aired in DFW? Maybe they think they have to get in equal time. (ha!)

9. It's even worse than that.

I can't say for all the stations, but last night on CBS11 they did a snippet about the military death vigil downtown on Wed night. Great, right? Nope. They interviewed a woman, who says she's the mother of a military guy, who also says that she was yelled and spit at at the vigil. *That's* all the coverage the vigil was given on their 6:00 broadcast.

I can't say for the other stations, but CBS11 sucked on this one.

10. Why am I not surprised? Probably because I've been dealing

with their report on the fallout from their sensationalistic reporting on last Wednesday's Vigil at City Hall since Thursday evening! Damn them and I wish I had known. I'll be calling on Monday morning for sure!
