Early vote numbers for Tarrant county.
The record vote turnout for any primary was in 2000 when 84,000 Republicans voted in the Primary.

At the close of early voting there were 87,000 Democratic early votes and 37,000 early Republican votes.

For those concerned about Republican cross-over, only 7% of early Democratic voters had voted in a Republican primary over the last ten years and 5% had only voted in one Republican primary in the last ten years.

There ain't gonna' be 'nough room for the precinct convention. Looks like we'll be caucusing in the parking lot.

1. So these include your Friday nubmers?
The SOS still does not have the final tally with Friday numbers.

The last day they have is Thursday.

Early voting breaks Travis records
Sunday, March 02, 2008

The polls in Travis County were plenty busy during early voting for Tuesday's Democratic and Republican primaries, breaking several records. The statewide numbers for early voting weren't complete Saturday, but Travis County had the highest turnout percentage of the state's largest counties. That didn't include the 23,586 people who voted Friday, the last day people could cast ballots early.

Well we can't do the math just yet since we don't know the breakdown of those last almost 24,000 voters. But I bet a huge majority of them voted in the Democratic primary!

Yea Travis!!
