1. I started out with my remembrances of GW's "legacy"
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 08:56 PM by MagickMuffin
I will remember how the GW Bush administration ignored warnings from within our own government about the "terrorist network" within the US and how they couldn't find the time to hold meetings concerning these threats with the officials who were trying to Raise the Red Flag.

I will remember how GW Bush ignored the August 6, 2001 MEMO: "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Within US!", while GW Bush vacationed in Crawford, TX and DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. For OVER 36 days, GW Bush DID NOTHING.

I will remember how GW Bush tried to tie Iraq to Bin Laden even though there was NO CONNECTION.

I will remember how GW Bush said "Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction"
NOT TRUE... there were no WEAPONS.
I will remember how GW Bush then JOKED about it at the National Press Correspondence Dinner, while our Troops were in HARMS WAY and getting KILLED because of GW Bush.

I will remember how Americans who questioned the GW Bush administration were called "Un-American", "Hate America First", "Unpatriotic", "Hate the Troops", "Don't Support the Troops", etc.

I will remember how GW Bush ignored a WHOLE city after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, while GW Bush vacationed, spending time with Sen. John McCain as they celebrated McCain's birthday, as a city was in a state of EMERGENCY. GW Bush DID NOTHING!

I will remember how GW Bush allowed US telecommunications companies to wiretap and spy on American citizens.

I will remember Kenny Boy Lay and how GW Bush and Kenny Boy Screwed Shareholders and American citizens who were dependent on Enron for their energy needs.

I will remember how GW Bush and Dick Cheney looted our National Treasury for their own personal gains.

:wow: ...... Do you think it would make it into the "legacy bus" or would it get scrubbed?.?.?

I'm not sure I would want to submit it anyways since they want personal info, but that IS how I will remember Mad king Boy George.

Edit: Do you know where exactly where it will be?.?.? There isn't any details of where it will be.

2. Oh, sorry Muffin. I'm going over to the oil and gas deal @ Will Rogers and then the bus.
here it is:
like many of its other stops, the bus will be parking outside a union hall. It will be at CWA 6201 Union Hall at 421 S. Adams St. near downtown Fort Worth from noon to 2 p.m.

**This is south of I30, just off Henderson..from I 30 take Henderson South to West Broadway and take a left on Broadway, then take a right turn on Adams. *****

The bus comes courtesy of the progressive and pro-labor Americans United for Change

I think your statements will be well accepted, from the website:

By now, most Americans agree that President Bush’s two terms in office have been a profound failure. For months, Bush’s approval ratings have hovered around 30 percent -- while approximately 2/3 of the American people disapprove of the job he’s doing in Washington.

What the polls don’t tell us is that in truth, the failures of the last eight years cannot be chalked up to one man – and that means they won’t necessarily be turned around when he leaves office. The war in Iraq, the floundering economy, the tragedy that befell New Orleans, were the failures of conservative ideology. And they were the failures of every one in Congress who cheerleaded for and happily rubber-stamped the President’s conservative agenda.

The purpose of the Bush Legacy Tour is not to gloat about all that has gone wrong over the past eight years, but to ensure that the legacy of President George W. Bush can be used to ensure that the next eight are drastically different.

We cannot let President Bush and Karl Rove's version of the past eight years go down in history as the truth – and we cannot allow the conservative agenda to continue to fail the American people.

The conservative leadership in Washington, DC:

* Misled the American people into an endless war in Iraq that has made the United States less safe, has resulted in the death and injury of thousands of American troops and Iraqis, has cost American taxpayers as much as one trillion dollars, has strained our military to the breaking point, and has prevented us from finishing the job in Afghanistan.
* Stood idly by while thousands of Americans lost everything during Hurricane Katrina – and still haven’t taken leadership to rebuild the Gulf Coast and help people return home.
* Allowed trickle-down, laissez-faire economics to help the rich get richer, while regular Americans struggle with soaring gas and food prices, a meltdown in the housing market, and exploding debt during today’s economic recession.
* Turned control of our country’s health care system over to insurance and pharmaceutical companies, leaving millions of Americans incapable of paying for the rising costs of health benefits and turning emergency rooms into primary care physicians.
* Broke their promise to America’s children, failing to fund early education programs and No Child Left Behind.
* Ignored the scientific reality of climate change, obstructing efforts to make our air and water cleaner so oil and gas companies and big business could achieve record profits.
* Turned their backs on America’s workers, assaulting workers’ rights and impeding regular Americans’ efforts to form unions and bargain for better pay and working conditions.

4. Great info, thanks yellowdogintexas
I just went to TCDP and they had some details about it although not as detailed as you.

I'm not sure I can make it, but will give it a shot. However, I guess I feel better knowing that my comments would be included in the Guest Book.

Thanks again for posting:hi:
