Rally with Rick Noriega and Bill Clinton in Dallas!
I'm impressed.... they either really think Texas could be in play, or they're sticking with their promise to help down-ticket races. Either way, it's nice not to be the red headed stepchild for a change.

1. Yea Dallas and great for Rick
I hope everyone that turns out will give a little money to the Noriega campaign. He needs more TV time.

...getting ready for the rally. I briefly met Rick Noriega a few months ago - seems like a good man.

3. Yes, Bill was in Galveston at about 11am, and was going straight to Dallas from there.
I hope they had a good turnout!

4. Two thousand attended

Former President Bill Clinton is back on the campaign trail in Texas, lending his support to Democratic Senate candidate Rick Noriega.

Speaking Tuesday night before a crowd of about 2,000 supporters, Clinton highlighted Noriega's military service and work helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Taking on incumbent Republican Sen. John Cornyn hasn't been easy on Noriega, a Houston Democratic state legislator. Cornyn has raised and spent more money than Noriega and even made some headway in the typically Democratic Rio Grande Valley.

But Clinton told the crowd that a candidate can be outspent and still win.

5. We were there!
In the nosebleed section, unfortunately, but it's the first time I've ever been in the same room as a current or former US President.

:woohoo:

6. We were there too, and we got to shake the Big Dog's hand!
I went to his first inauguration and was in the same room with him and Hillary at the Midwest inaugural ball, but this time I got close enough to shake his hand twice. I felt like a little kid!
