Furniture - free to a good home.
I have some furniture that needs a new home. I simply don't have the space for it anymore.

1. Computer desk - L-shaped, particle board, but pretty solid. It comes apart for easy transport.
2. Leather sofa - black. Seats 3.
3. IKEA dresser, 4 drawers, glass front.
4. Various and sundry end tables, occasional tables, etc.
5. Small book shelf, 3 shelves.
6. Mission-style coffee table, sold wood.

PM me if you want something. Anything that goes unclaimed will go to charity. I can't deliver. Sorry. It's gotta be gone by Friday, Oct. 31.

6. Freecycle is a great place to offer/get stuff. One of my daughters lives
near you. If you need to get your things out of the way quickly, let me know. We will make sure they get a good home.

2. Very generous of you to just put it all up for free
You should think about listing it on Craigslist too. Especially if you want someone to come pick it up rather than you delivering it to Goodwill.

Damn I remember the New Year's parties at your house. The first one where we tried to start a fire in your yard with fireworks was lots of fun.

And you really make some damn fine chile. You're just going to have to show those Seattlites what Texas chile is like.

And you have to admit that saying "Austinite" sounds a hell of a lot better than "Seattlite". Seattlite sounds like you should be orbiting space. Austinite rolls off your tongue like it should. Even if Seattle is cooler than Austin.

You have a great time out in S-Town ya hear? Post some pics when you get a chance.

3. Speaking as a dual Austinite/Seattlite he'll be just fine.
Both are first class towns. Austin BBQ is awesome to say the least, but Seattle seafood is absolutely to die for. Both have excellent music scenes.
I see them both as equal but different. I guess the differences are more in the negatives. Seattle is wet much of the year, but you will never encounter the brutal heat that is here in Austin for 6 months out of the year. The street numbering system in Seattle is pretty daunting with numbered streets going both North/South AND East/West (go to the corner of 15th Street E and 20th Ave NE, huh?????!11!!) .Here I constantly am confused by all the different FM an RM roads (Is it 2222 or 2224?, 1325? Aargghhhh!!!!). Both have shitty traffic but great public transport systems.

As for the furniture, Damn! I wish I saw this earlier!
