1. I bet the house is mainly for Laura and Dumbya spends most of his time at the "ranch".

2. I feel for you
Glad he's not coming back to Austin, but I wouldn't wish him on anyone.

3. That's about a mile from where I used to live in the 60's.
Not far from H. Ross Perot. Mickey Mantle used to live near there too. So did the president of TI, J. Fred Bucy.

I wonder who's house it used be?

7. 10141 Daria Place

A photo of the house (too big to link here) is at the link below, and here's another excerpt:

(O)n October 1, Robert A. McCleskey bought a home at 10141 Daria Place. McCleskey is the Bushes’ Midland accountant and good friend of the First Couple. He’s also the man who placed the Bushes’ assets in a blind trust when W. became governor of Texas in 1995. McCleskey bought the home from Dan and Laura Boeckman. As far as I know, it hadn’t been on the market. (Of note: Dan Boeckman is one of the investors in Museum Tower.)

6. I think I'm already in "recovery"
I saw a headline that said, "President and first lady buying a home in Dallas." I turned to my husband and said in all seriousness, "Huh, I wonder why the Obamas are buying a home in Dallas." To which my husband reminded me, Obama isn't the president, yet. Duh! Well, it sure felt good to realize that mentally, I'm pushing W right out of my mind. I don't care where the hell he moves, just MOVE!!!.

9. His coloring book is also being moved to Dallas
Despite all the controversy with SMU staff and board members, the bushies got their wish and his vast collection of memorabilia will be housed at the SMU campus. I wonder if there will be an homage to torture? That would be his one legacy that he will be remembered for. :grr:

10. It actually makes me sad I left.
If I ran into Laura or the asshole at Neimans (don't shop there but I'd make a point if I was still there) so I could spit on her and tell her what an ignorant pig fucker her husband is, "OH AND THANKS FOR THE FUCKING ECONOMY, BIOTCH!!!!"

Sorry for everybody dealing with this traumatic news.

Figures. Preston Hollow. :eyes:
