Post a reply and just put in "fuck off" which is what was usually in the immediate reply in the posts of mine that were deleted yesterday. Must work magic with the moderators.

At least they didn't restrict it to just Texas. And the joke about Sarah Palin needing a passport is funny.

Which goes to show how pervasive the "hate on Texas" attitude has become.

I think this country is and has been engaged in a cold civil war for quite some time now, as evidenced by the endless region bashing on this site among many others. Sadly, many of the bullies and bigots know not of what they speak because they have never visited the regions they spew their venom and bile upon. If they did, perhaps they would not be so quick to condemn.

Edited to add: Since this latest outbreak of region bashing erupted I have put so many people on ignore that, for me, reading threads on this site will soon not be worthwhile or comprehensible.

Oh well.

9. Until that post the OP seemed unlikely to engage in cheap shots and regional bigotry.
Considering where they live, they have precious little high ground on which to stand.

on future alerts. Alert with, "Regional bigotry".

5. I've started using those threads to fill up my ignore list
starting with whoever started the thread and working my way down to all those who agree with the OP and continue the hatred. I figure if they are all going to gather in one spot, I might as well put it to use and ignore them in one swipe.

I didn't even have an ignore list until the latest round of bashing began.

Sadly, after all is said and done, there will probably be very few not on ignore.

Such is the caliber of poster that this site attracts.

OK, I am a Texan who is so liberal I have been protested by the local VFW 3 times (my neighbors tell me - I was at work). I also embrace the pacifist side of "not necessarily knowing everything" so I am hesitant to enforce said approach on others - it would be hypocritical. Get it so far?

So if you ignore ALL posts from anyone who disagrees on a certain issue, or shows ignorance on a certain issue, you may shut out instructive conversation on other issues. For sure you get less info on an opposing view.

If you want to avoid hypocrisy of your own, consider this.

Because maybe in the future they **might** have something worthwhile to say? Um, no offense, but fuck that.

This is supposed to be a haven for liberals & progressives & "regional bigotry" is not something true liberals or progressives should tolerate.

the OP can usually be *inspired* to offer up a few flames.
They must already be pissed off if they are looking for a fight from Texans. Doesn't take much.
