Even if they self describe themselves that way to "get away" with Texas bashing. That poster likes to bash period. I've seen a lot of their threads.

I believe I remember another Texas bashing thread by that same author.

Like I said - some people are just snobs - they like to create drama and make sure someone else is looked at in a "lesser" way than them.

Try to nip it in the bud. I hit alert.

I was born in Pasadena, I've lived in Texas my whole life, and I am not going anywhere.

BTW, I have never owned a pickup, I have never dated or married anyone who owned a pickup.
I have never owned a pair of cowboy boots or a cowboy hat.
I have never owned a horse. Or a cow. Or multiples thereof.

I can't stand shitty country music (which is most of it).

Oh and I read the New Yorker and Scientific American.

And I graduated from one private university, one community college and one private college of law.

Around 2005 Paul Wall came out with a kinda guilty pleasure hip hop single called They Don't Know. It just goes to show how diverse Texans are;-Swishahouse started in Houston, just compare that to indie rockers Spoon from Austin or the Tejano queen of Pop Selena from Corpus

If anyone gives us shit about Texas just repeat some of the lyrics from They Don't Know
"Texas is the home of the players and pimps"
"Showin naked {ass} in the great state of Texas"
"Third coast born, that mean we're Texas raised"

They're like script kiddies - they have no honor in the lamest of attacks. They're not good enough to write their own hacks so they go after the easy targets like wiki web sites. Same with the same DU Texas bashers who just start a thread so they can see it make it to the greatest page, with very little effort. It's almost guaranteed to go there with just a "fuck Texas" OP.

A pox on them and their little lazy recommenders who blindly follow them too.

Since we're in the Texas forum I'm not going to join the pile on of S.C. on that thread. Yes it is wrong.

They can defend themselves, can't they?

We got enough Texas bashing threads to deal with on our own. Trying to defend the whole south every time there is a southern attack would be a full time job.
