Wharton woman to take on Perry, Hutchison
Small-government advocate says she's disappointed in GOP elected officials.
Saturday, September 12, 2009

Debra Medina, who plans to run for Texas governor, says she considers herself like David taking on Goliath. And the battle she's entering has two Goliaths.

Medina is scheduled to announce today in Dallas that she's running for governor in the Republican primary — a field that already includes Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

"I couldn't just stay on the sidelines when I saw who our choices were going to be," said Medina, 47, a business owner and rancher who lives in Wharton, southwest of Houston. "I continue to be disappointed, disgusted with the performance of our Republican elected officials."

Medina, who said she believes in small government, has been trolling for support at the limited-government "tea party" rallies around Texas.

:bounce:

Yea more craziness in the R primary!!! I hope she gets invited to the debates.

1. cool
I hope she wins the debate (that should be SO HARD!) and I hope she gets some donations - although not mine.... Anyway I doubt any of the above will occur. Still it's good to see.

2. I want to hear a couple of "liars" shouted by the audience
Maybe some of the audience will be packing guns. After all both Perry and KBH are ardent gun supporters - shouldn't we see them in the audience then? That would be true gun owning support!

3. I gotta tell ya,
In my weird, dyslexic frame of mind this morning, I read your last sentence as:

"I hope she gets invited to the debasements."

Which probably wouldn't be too far from the truth. :D

5. Oh that is crazy
"... she conceals weapons in the roof of her mouth" ".. we are showing those weapons today.." "..we are giving notice today.."

"..the tree of freedom watered by the blood... blah, blah, blah..."

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nullify yourselves baby!

Sovereignty or secession. Secede or die!!

Oh yeah I can't wait to see the debates.
