It's my birthday - and my formal announcement day!
Today I am formally announcing my candidacy for the democratic nomination for Texas Railroad Commissioner. I invite everyone here to visit my web site, www.jeffweemsforcommissioner.com, and let me know what you think.

There are many pressing issues facing our energy industry and environment today. We need to start replacing our underperforming republican railroad commissioners in 2010, and I hope to be the first one in the replacement cycle.

Hopefully you'll be seeing more of Austin come 2010. I'm up north in Fort Worth. I'm sure if you would like to come visit there are a lot of active Tarrant County groups that would probably book you so we can get a chance to meet you. Just let me know and I'll send you info.
