This was a history making week for Hank's campaign.

On Wednesday, he released Equality for All, a bold policy statement addressing the rights of LGBT Texans. He followed that up with a Wednesday policy release on insurance reform. Both rollouts were in Houston. Hank's LGBT policy received high marks from the press. The Austin American-Statesman called it "robust" and recognized that Hank was the first candidate in Texas history to do this.

On Saturday, Hank spoke to the Texas Democratic County Chair's Association's breakfast in Austin where he was well received. Several county chairs from across the state told Hank how much they appreciated his bold, common sense approach to the issues facing Texas today. Saturday afternoon, he spoke to a local Democratic club in Austin before heading to San Antonio for the Bexar County Young Democrats' reception and silent auction. Yesterday, he spoke at an event sponsored by the Wimberly and Dripping Springs Democratic clubs before calling it a week.

Many of you have called or emailed the campaign in the aftermath of the inaccurate and misleading poll conducted by The Texas Tribune, a new online publication based in Austin. Before closing this email, we wanted to direct your attention to our statement on the poll so you can read about why the Tribune poll was unreliable and bogus.

Sincerely,

Vince Leibowitz
Communications & Policy Director
Hank Gilbert for Texas Governor
