computer in Austin

A friend voting in Austin reported that Bush came up highlighted when he first clicked in. He was able to change it, but it was confusing. anyone else reporting this problem?

she early voted at an HEB. she voted straight a dem ticket and on the review screen, chimpy/cheenee were selected. she alerted the poll worker and straightened it out. but it doesn't give you a lot of faith in elections where republican owned voting machine companies are counting the votes.


i voted today on one of the same machines. i voted straight dem ticket also (and wrote in SADUN for 10th district congress) and everything went fine. i also went back and made sure i voted manually for the libertarians in all the races where only a repuke and a libertarian were running.

no filthy, corporate whoring, war profiteering, fetid, stinking, rotting,racist, bigoted republicans allowed on my ballot.

I was told that the offending machines were removed after early voting.

This has been a problem in Travis County seems if you vote straight Dem ticket it defaults your Presidential vote to Bush. If you vote straight Repub ticket it goes does not select anyone.
