... the prosecutor who is after him is a tenacious, dedicated, and very careful soul. This prosectutor is structuring his case and has publically stated he cares little for either the timeline of the election or its result as it involves Delay - strongly implying that his work is on track and he has his target well in his sight.

The prosectutor is a very measured, dedicated, and experienced man and he appears to have very specific contempt when it comes to Delay and what Delay has done. He intends to nail this foul, vile, and evil little son of a bitch.

It's just this simple: Delay will not complete the term he won tonight; he will be forced to resign under indictment.
