HOUSTON-Must see TV tonight (Thursday) 6:30pm
Tonight Keir Murray will be discussing Hubert Vo and the election and what we might expect if Heflin-the loser goes for a recount.

They take call-in questions, so be ready! You know those talk radio callers will be there, so let's get to it.

Here's the info:

Join Us Every Thursday Night at 6:30 p.m. on Houston Media Source as We Welcome the Men and Women Who Shape the Political Landscape and Who Have Unique Perspectives on the Events of the Day.

Houston Cable Televisions’ longest running political discussion broadcast. Now in its 15th year and hosted by liberal local attorney and longtime Democratic Party Activist, David Jones, and conservative attorney, editor Texas Conservative Review and former Republican Party Chair, Gary Polland.

TEXAS POLITICS – The Real Deal is broadcast exclusively in the Houston/Harris County area by Houston Media Source which is located on Time Warner Channel 17/18/66/82/96 (depending on your area), TV MAX (previously called Optel Cable) Channel 17 or 69, and Kingwood Cable Channel 98, respectively. No matter where you live, even an apartment, you should now be able to watch TEXAS POLITICS – The Real Deal on Houston Media Source.

This Week’s Guest: 11-11-04

Chris Oliver

1. Good luck to you callers in Houston
Get in there and defend Vo! Remind those pukes that votes have been counted and Vo won. Simple as that. Remind the viewers about Helfin
role in cutting 159,000 children off the Children's Health Insurance Program.

Here's some more ammo on Helfin:

If I'm Talmadge Heflin, I'm wondering what this country is coming to.

If you can't buy an election with the lobby's money, you ought to be able to steal it with the help of courthouse friends.

2. I won't be able to watch because
Time Warner does not service where I live...They consider it an area of high risk for cable theft. There is another company that services here, but they overcharge for very few channels, and the reception you get on rabbit ears is better than their signal for the local channels. We elected to go Dish so that we could actually get the channels we wanted without the ghosts and fuzz. Please post here about how it goes.

Note: I worked for Time Warner in South Carolina for a short time...They generally consider trailer parks to be high risk areas for cable theft, no matter how nice the area is, forcing us to settle for sub-par TV just because we can't afford a home with a foundation in a gated community.
