Any "coronation" protests in Texas?
I've been out of the loop for several weeks. Is anything going on for those of us who won't make it to DC on 01/20/2005? I would so love to vent my frustration at the fraud.

1. I got an email today
mentioning nationwide protests 1/20, including possibly one here in Houston -- will follow up with the originator of that email and post info here as I get it.

Your $20 donation at the door pays the rent at the Tarrant County Democratic Party. PS: Dress up, or dress down. 15. Well, a funeral sounds good!....but how about a party?
"Inaugurate Yourself" Street Party in Sesquicentennial Park at Bagby and Rusk

(correction to event time)

WHAT: "Inaugurate Yourself" Street Party
WHERE: Sesquicentennial Park (Bagby and Rusk)
WHEN: January 20th at 7pm

Turn Bush's Inauguration Day into a day to Inaugurate Yourselves. While the Republicans party the night away in DC on a lavish $35 million inauguration paid by corporate donors, join your local community in a celebration for peace, democracy and economic justice in the streets of downtown Houston. The fight is just beginning as we are building a collective consciousness to challenge Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the corporations that love them. We'll reclaim the streets of Houston with a radical street scene that contests the boundaries of our imaginations as we will use music, art, humor, defiance and action to inaugurate ourselves. A radical affront to democracy calls for a radical response, this is the time to get involved and get into our communities to turn back the tide.
