!!!!Terror Alert!!! Navy to enlist dolphins to protect us!!! Praise Jesus!!!!
As if the most militarized, paranoid, idiotic and backward thinking country on the planet could not become even more ridiculous, now this article appears on the front page of the website at the Seattle Times. It's also a lead story on one of our local news channels. My God, what won't the US military stoop to?
:hangover:
I was just logging on to check the weather, and then this BS hit me in the face.

1. Sorry, I don't see a problem.
The military also uses dogs for mine detection and general security patrols. This is just the naval version. Everything the PETA representative stated concerning marine mammals applies to all mammals in general.

2. Are our waters full of suspicious swimmers? I question the allocation of resources
I'm afraid to go to the beach now, maybe some of those myriad of suspicious swimmers will jump out of the water and get me. How will I dare take my kayak out until I know I am safe from the evil swimmers wanting to do me harm? omg omg omg omg omgomg ogmogmomomgogg!!!!!!!!!!!

3. I feel safer already!
Now if they would just build a really sweet dolphin viewing platform on the Hood Canal bridge, the drive to the big city would be O so much more fun us. :sarcasm: Yes! My first sarcasm button usage!

5. I feel bad that the dolphins will have to swim in the Hood Canal "dead zone"
which is in the general area of Bangor.
