Visiting my daughter in Seattle this Saturday. Advice please.
I'm already seeing Pike Place Market on Sunday. Is there something special I should make sure to see in or around Seattle on Saturday?

Thanks for your help!

1. Seattle Center
Also the zoo and the fish ladder. Check The Stranger and The Seattle Weekly for special events.

2. Thanks so much for the help!
Seattle will be a nice break from the 103 to 105 weather we are STILL having in Austin. Everything is so crunchy here. Driest summer I have seen in my life and I am over half a century.:hi:

3. We had a very late summer, with a few weeks of 80 degrees and clear
Now it looks like autumn is setting in. Hasn't started to really rain, but skies are overcast more often than not.

4. Don't know what part of town you're staying in, but
the downtown library is a cool building. Take a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island (35 mins.one-way) and back. Fremont, just north of downtown, has a troll and a statue of Stalin...lots of shops, restaurants, etc.

Agree with eridani...the zoo and the Locks!

Have fun!
