Seattle DUer Regular Meeting Days

Monday is the People's Pub's least-busy night, but some people who'd like to come can't make it on Monday nights. So I'd like a vote about changing the day of the regular meeting from Monday to another day.

Saturday night would work well for me and some others, but it's a much busier (and louder) night. OTOH, the fact that it is busier would make it possible for more people who aren't already aware of DU to see our sign and ask questions.

Tuesday is a non-busy night that might be a good compromise.

So here's the poll: What day should the meetings be?

P.S. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, and every other Friday night are completely un-do-able for me, as I have other stuff going on.

so any night besides a week night (work) would be better for me.

Xen has to work Monday nights, which means I have to bus back to Seattle from Olympia. Leaving school at 4:00 puts me back in Seattle around 9:00, and I have to be up early for Tuesday morning classes.

So, if the meetings stay on Mondays, chances are high that neither Xen nor I will be able to make it.

If they change to Saturday or Tuesday, Xen and I will be able to come.

Also, if you go straight to Seattle and go to my house, would that be a shorter trip?

I didn't want to just show up at your door without calling, and I lost your phone number for the bazillionth time, though.

Saturday will be a crowded night there, which is good for meeting new people who are not DUers but not so good for finding seats and parking. If we do a once a month Saturday, how about starting it early so that we can get parked and seated? Also, is there a different venue that would be more suitable on Saturdays?

I was already thinking Saturday early-evening, maybe even mid-afternoon, to avoid the rush.

As for other venues, I don't know; I'm really grooving on People's Pub. Those mushrooms in lemon sauce are just *too* good.
