4. A lot of theaters are waiting
A friend of a friend who manages a local independent theater says that opening week for a film, the theater chains usually get 90% of the box office and then after that they get 40%. However, the distributors for F 9/11 are asking for the 60/40 split up front. So the chains see no financial incentive to open the film. However, the independents know the film is going to command a huge draw and are quite satisfied with their 40%.

Note: I'm not sure about the exact splits but that's the gist of what he said.

5. Not showing in Morgantown, either.
Carmike had ads for it on their website. Maybe it'll just be delayed until next month. Hopefully.

11. Why doesn't this surprise me?
Huntington just doesn't have any sort of indie film support. It has at different points in time (thru Marshall and even the Keith Albee used to have Sunday art house films back in the day), so I don't think we will see F-911 at all. Did Bowling for Columbine come here? I was in CO at the time, and it only showed in Denver and Boulder, so I'd be surprised.

I think Ashland or Charleston are going to be the closest we'll see until we can order it on DVD.
