The legacy of the late Ronald Reagan was recalled at the second floor spaces of Ashland's Masonic Temple Saturday night, with pictures of the 40th president posted on the walls for the first annual Reagan Day Dinner held by the Northwoods Republicans. The group, a collation of GOP members from Ashland and Bayfield County enjoyed a casual chili feed, highlighted by the presence of a number of regional and statewide Republican office seekers.
The building, recently purchased by Ashland County Republican Party Chairman Hank Martinsen, Sr., was dedicated as "Freedom Hall" :puke: :puke: :puke: in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting by the party faithful. The site will be the party's campaign headquarters for the upcoming 2006 elections. The picture doesn't give any idea of how many people actually attended and the article doesn't say either..... Ashland is a pretty progressive place....the Chequamegon Dems are some of my favorite Dems in the whole state....
