Looks like Gard has competition
http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/dec05/375623.asp

McCormick from Appleton says that Gard has more "internal" party support and "resources" (e.g. MONEY) but claims she'll have "all the resources she needs.

hmmmmmmm.....

could it be that there are sane, rational people in the Republican party who think Gard is an embarrassment and would like to see him out?

1. An interesting development, for sure.
Hand me some of that popcorn!

Though I remain unconvinced that there are enough "rational people in the Republican party" to make a difference here, it should be fun watching them tear each other apart.

2. What's Terry McCormick like?
I don't know much about her. Would she just toe the party line like Mark Green, or would she be more moderate?

4. Here's her web page and
some small bit of info:

http://www.legis.state.wi.us/assembly/asm56/asm56.html

Her Webpage has some info on her economic development initiatives....same old conservative boiler-plate (taxes too high etc) but nothing overtly radical.

a pic

I don't know.....from what I can see she might be sane....conservative, that's for sure, but not batshitcrazy.

5. They usually don't seem bad from their web page
but there's something about Republicans going to the House that turns them batshitcrazy. Maybe it was all that arm twisting that Tom DeLay did. I'm guessing that they will still go in lockstep with what the leadership says.

6. I think I know
exactly what that "something" that turns them batshitcrazy really is:

MONEY, LOTS AND LOTS OF CAMPAIGN MONEY" Once they are elected they get tapped into the GOP Money machine which keeps turning out $$$$ to keep them in office. In return for the $$$$ they have to turn BATSHITCRAZY!
