1. You've got my vote - I think a snow day would be great
My kids would be home from school and they can help me bake cookies and decorate the house all day.

3. Freezing drizzle.
I didn't hear about that. They downgraded us to about 3 inches,so it's looking like another day of work and a crappy drive home.

4. Snowing and blowing here in central Wisconsin
It has me wanting to heat up some hot cocoa and snuggle under a blanket on the couch.

5. Yipee!!
The repair shop brought my blower back around noon...so I had to go out and try it out...had about 6 inches in the driveway and about 18" from the City snowplow.... I was a little surprised how wet and heavy this stuff is....clogged up the chute a few times...I had to use a scraper handle to unclog it because I couldn't find a Republican to stick his hand down there while it was running. :spank:

Anyway....it's great to have my blower back....did the widow-lady driveway and sidewalk....did the new neighbor's sidewalk even though I'm going to be speaking against her at the Planning Commission Hearing on the 20th....oh well...it was fun using the blower again anyway.

6. They canceled schools for this?
I know the folks up north are getting it worse, but down here we are expecting 2"-4" through the afternoon. Listening to the radio driving into work this morning and schools all over were being canceled even before the snow began!

Roads look good. No traffic tie-ups. Planned on seeing a basketball game tonight and it looks like a 'go'.

7. They cancelled at noon
here....

it was getting sort of bad....I suspect the more rural roads (gravel) are probably in bad shape. We've had about two inches more since I blew it earlier.

8. The roads here are slippery & drifted over...
That's in the city. I imagine in the country, it's blowing around a bit more. :scared:

9. ours got cancelled at 1:00
I think they are being extra cautious because we (Wausau school district)just had a boy killed by getting run over trying to catch a school bus in the morning.

12. Viewers shovel on snow-coverage criticism
Inside TV & Radio's e-mail in-box was full of exclamation points as viewers assessed TV's role in the itsy-bitsy snowfall.

"I turned on TV about 5 a.m. only to find the city all but shut down," he reports. "I was so shook up I didn't even want to go to the trash can or to my mail box and it's attached to the house!!!!!!!!!!"

And after the snow?

"Not one plow was used on our street," D'Amato reports. "It wasn't needed."

It's comical how the media nowadays overblows these things, and how people get all worked up when they see three snowflakes floating through the air.
