When and where does your county Democratic party meet?
A few people have expressed interest in attending a Democratic party meeting. I think it might be helpful to have a dedicated thread to county-by-county info (and, remember, if your county isn't listed here, visit www.wisdems.org for contact information for your county).

I live in Waukesha, and have recently become active in the local party again after an absence. We have new leadership, who actually want to let things get done, without undue influence of their own parochial interests.

So, if anyone in Waukesha County wants to attend, our meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, at 7 p.m. in the Waukesha library. (Usually in the big community room; sometimes, we get demoted to the smaller conference room.) You don't have to be a member to come.

If you do come to the May meeting, I'm easy to spot. I'm 28 and there aren't really many young people in the room, unless people bring their kids (who are welcome, BTW, but might not exactly find the discussion interesting).

How about your county?

3. What county, and when?
One of the best ways to revamp a committee is the get as many like-minded people to join.

some new, younger leadership and it's starting to make a difference.

It can happen for you too.

5. Clark County varies
We were alternating very successful Saturday Breakfast Meetings with weeknight meetings. I think the breakfasts have been good PR and the small restaurants have really been very accomodating. Plus these small businesses see Dems (sans horns and bifurcated tails) spending money in the community. Unfortunately that means the schedule varies. The next meeting is May 15th at 8:30am at the Greenwood Family Restaurant.

In June, we are skipping our monthly meeting and doing a dairy breakfast for visibility. Anyone interested can pm me for more details.

10. I was wondering where the local party was
In Ohio, the party was so visable. At every festival, fair, or other community event, you saw the party. The newspaper always listed the parties of local officials and candidates. Party events were written about too. Here I don't ever see the party.
I currently live in Waupaca County. I think that it is fairly Republican here. I'll have to call the local chair though. I am interested in getting involved.
