Just got this e-mail from the campaign.
Dear Friend,
We’ve just unveiled an innovative and useful new campaign tool -- Truth Watch!
Listen to audio of what Russ has to say about the latest negative attack:
http://www.russfeingold.org/truth.phpAs our opponents continue their onslaught of negative personal attacks, we hope to keep you updated on precisely what they are saying so that you may appropriately respond.
Millionaire car-dealer Russ Darrow has been busy launching attacks against Senator Feingold instead of introducing his plans to address the issues important to Wisconsin.
He rolled out a glitzy 10-minute movie, which criticizes Feingold for his work to pass campaign finance reform, and claims that Feingold’s listening sessions (where Feingold holds a town hall meeting in each of Wisconsin 72 counties, each year) are a “campaign scam.” He even highlights a veteran who says, “Russ Darrow is a patriot . . . that wrong Russ (Feingold) frightens me.”
Darrow also launched sustained personal attacks on TV and radio. His radio ad, which is featured in today’s Truth Watch criticizes Senator Feingold for his principled lone vote against the USA PATRIOT Act. You may remember that last week Darrow called Senator Feingold, “un-American” for that vote.
Please take a look at our Truth Watch Page and listen to Darrow’s misleading attack ad. Then listen to Senator Feingold describe, in his own words, the truth -- hear what he has to say about being the lone vote against the PATRIOT Act, and what he’s doing to fix the flawed provisions of the PATRIOT Act.
