But what's my excuse?

I still feel like I owe you an apology for not having made it to the late winter meet-up. I just want you to know, I'm still regularly checking the "Top 50" list and still feel bad about that.

Geez, why is Yost still sticking with Suppan? The guy's getting killed, again, tonight. I'm hoping that's why he still has Bush and McClung on the back burner for rotation spots.

5. It's pretty short notice

but there's a sort of meet-up scheduled for tomorrow night, 5:30 to 8:00 pm, at the Times Theater, 59th & Vliet. The topic is "protecting the vote", and it's being put on by the Institute for One Wisconsin.

I don't think I'm going to be able to stay very long, but I am planning on stopping by, to pick up a "Voter Toolkit", and maybe get involved later on.

We had a good time. Just the five of us, so it was intimate and everyone chimed in on the conversation.

Care to re-think your position on Suppan? :) I'd stick with him for now. He can go deeper than McClung.

I haven't looked at the Power 50 much the last couple of years. AFAIC, the future is NOW.

Suppan: That post came from the fourth inning of Suppan's first game back. (After he'd given up a pair of runs in the first and another in the third, but before he'd hung in there for a few more scoreless innings, and gotten his "quality start" -- the standards for which have fallen sooooo far from what they were a few decades ago, it's not even worth talking about.)

For the time being, I'm rooting for him (even though he's to the right of both Francisco Franco and Torquemada) but both McClung and Bush have better ERA's, and better stuff.

hence the smiley face. Watching today's game, who knows.

Whenever you get 25 guys together, you're going to get all kinds of types. So yeah, root for Supe and hope the team wins.
