Speech-watching bash in Milwaukee on Aug. 28! Mark your calendar

Get together with 2,500 other Democrats to watch Barack Obama accept our nomination for president. This will be the next best thing to being in Denver to watch this history-making event (also cheaper and more comfortable).

Free tickets for watching the speech at the Pabst Theater will be available some time next week (more precise information to follow). Invite all your friends and get ready to feel the hope.

3. Where to get tickets

Tickets are supposed to be available by Monday at any of the Obama offices in Milwaukee (see below). They might be there by Sunday, and if you stop by then you could take part in the canvassing and phone calling that is scheduled from 2 to 9 p.m. (canvass ends at 5).

You'll need to arrive by 8 p.m. to be sure your ticket is still being held for you in case all the others have been given out.
Doors open at 6:30 and the program should get under way about 7:00. The address is 144 E. Wells Street.

This should be a great event, so don't miss it!

6. Didn't make it to the Pabst, but what a wonderful speech.

After watching the MSNBC crew rave about it for a minute or two, I switched
over to CNN.

CNN's Andrea Mitchell also seemed overwhelmed, very impressed.

I turned to FAUX News...

...one of the best things I've ever heard, there...

...

...

...a very, very long silence.

They couldn't think of anything nasty to say.
