Associated Bank is another one that just DOESN'T GET IT!

Just three months ago, the state's second-largest bank joined scores of other troubled lenders when it cashed a check for $525 million from the federal government to prop up its bottom line.

Today, Associated is preparing to drop tens of thousands of dollars - and maybe more - to send about 100 employees to a posh Puerto Rican resort as a reward for a job well done.

Making the trip will be everyone from backroom workers to the CEO, Paul Beideman.

One thing Beideman definitely won't be doing, he suggested, is worrying about public reaction to the trip.

"Should we ask you or anybody else each individual thing we do to see if it's politically correct?" he asked. What he cares about, he said, is the opinion of his employees, and they overwhelmingly support the Puerto Rico trip: "I think it's coming across very positively."

So, if I got money for my tax refund, I won't have to pay bills with it, I can say it is different money and go spend it for a vacation or award for me AND then I can go and get money from the government to pay my bills and decide if I have a profit in the years to come, pay it back?

3. He's worth close to 12 million, and the man's a total lottery junkie
From the Wiki page:

In January 1998, Sensenbrenner won $250,000 on a D.C. Lottery ticket, purchased on December 18, 1997 at Congressional Liquors, the liquor store on Capitol Hill. He won $1,000 in the Wisconsin Lottery in the spring of 2007, and he won another $1,000 in that state's Super 2nd Chance lottery in September, 2007.

How many losing lottery tickets has he bought?

How much does he cost to buy?

From his Sourcewatch.org profile:

On February 9, 2005, Sensenbrenner introduced the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, which made sweeping changes to American bankruptcy laws, affecting both consumer and business bankruptcies. Many of the bill's provisions were explicitly designed to make it "more difficult for people to file for bankruptcy" in order to curb abuse. Sensenbrenner commented on the bill, "this bill will help restore responsibility and integrity to the bankruptcy system by cracking down on fraudulent, abusive, and opportunistic bankruptcy claims."

On April 26, 2005, it was widely reported that Sensenbrenner has had lobbyists pay for his transportation, a violation of congressional rules. His total travel expenses are higher than any other congressman.

Sensenbrenner authored the Real ID Act, which was passed into law on May 11, 2005. This controversial act discusses standards for drivers' licenses, national border patrols, individuals seeking asylum, and individuals seeking visas. However, it also allows the Attorney General and the Department of Homeland Security to bypass all laws and all judicial oversight while creating stronger borders.

The first time I saw him in person I was stunned that the grey pinstripe sleeves of his suit jacket didn't have hooves sticking out of them.

(The porcine resemblance is striking.)
