Received via email: First Fox, now Sykes and Belling? We must be making the GOP nervous...
First the national Fox Noise Channel tried to ambush the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County's October meeting. If you missed it, you can see an MSNBC story about it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1Q2E8gaxqg.
Now we've learned that minions of Milwaukee's right wing media cabal came to our January meeting and recorded one of the progressive candidates for County Executive, Chris Abele. Therefore, as you'd expect, Sykes and Belling have been playing edited, out-of-context comments from Mr. Abele on their radio shows.
The Beavis and Butthead of Milwaukee radio even went as far as saying they had a "secret" tape, and that Mr. Abele didn't know he was being recorded. Of course, the Milwaukee Dems very publicly had a video camera rolling, and we routinely live stream our meetings over the Internet. This was a totally fabricated "gotcha" moment.
Looks like we're making the right-wing just a little bit nervous.
Maybe it's our solid progressive values. Maybe it's our robust discussions of the issues that matter to hard-working American citizens. Or maybe it's all the elected officials and community leaders who visit us, many of them on a regular basis.
Whatever it is, apparently it's scaring the radical right wing.
