La Crosse Wisconsin is the #2 most romantic city in the county...
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A new survey shows that La Crosse is the #2 most romantic city in the country.

Redbox, the movie rental company, released a survey based on the percentage of romantic comedies rented from them in 2010. Their Date Night Survey also showed that more than half of those surveyed will spend Valentine's Day night watching a movie at home. It also revealed that a romantic comedy is the best genre for getting in the mood for love.

Only Greensboro, North Carolina did better than La Crosse.

The movie Up in the Air was most rented romantic comedy in the area. La Crosse had more than 55,000 romantic comedy rentals last year according to the company.

In case you're wondering what other cities in the country earned the title of Most Romantic, here's the list:

Top 10 Most Romantic Cities

1. Greensboro, N.C.

2. La Crosse, Wis.

3. Tuscaloosa, Ala.

4. Buffalo, N.Y.

1. Or maybe it's the city with the second most folks who laugh at romance
Being a university town with a history of brewing, I completely get THAT!

From Red Wing/Bay City to Winona/Fountain City down past the LaCresent/LaCrosse area.
