GOP Set To Roll Back Child Labor Laws

"Others are not as pleased. Jon Peacock, research director with the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families, cautions the rollback of child labor laws comes down to “devaluing” the education of the state’s 16- and 17-year-olds.
“I don’t want the state to make all our decisions, but I don’t think any of us should assume a 16-year-old can make the best decision between the immediate gratification of earning pocket money versus a long-term investment in their future through education,” Peacock says.

1. Hintz mentions it on his Facebook page.
He's not too happy about it. The comments on there are in favor of the bill.

3. They don't want the MO level.
I'm originally from WI but moved to MO as a teen. Now I'm stuck d/t visitation rights. (You never, ever want to go to court in MO, especially anything with child support, visitation, etc. It's horrible!)

Anyway, I'd still move back to WI in a heartbeat if I could. MO is becoming a cesspool.

4. Devaluing education is ALEC tool.... This will work out real well for them...
They started with no child left behind and now they bring us the roll back on child labor laws... Can you see how these kids are going to be exploited?

6. I can't wait to open a taconite mine that uses children!
It's about time.

No more cushy grocery store and fast food jobs for them.
