3. Shooter killed himself with gunshot.
7 or 8 others seriously wounded.

All Milwaukee Stations covering it now, choppers in the air, etc.

Somebody told me they heard the gunman lived in New Berlin. Me too. I'm waiting to hear a name, in case I know them.

I guess toll was up to 8, I think. Some in the hospital didn't make it. One of them was the pastor.

13. I just read the newspaper account in the State Journal
There's no motive given- the shooter killed himself and people he worshipped with regularly. I suppose there will be speculation but no one will ever really know why he did this. I think that just makes it so much harder to accept. Children were in this meeting and saw the whole thing.

14. This was way too close to my life for comfort.
A friend of mine's dad manages that hotel and he works there and another friend of mine's grandfather was one of the ones killed in that incident and was likely there though I haven't talked to him yet.

that's waaaayyyyy too close to home.

Condloences to your friend on the loss of his/her grandfather....

Details are stil pretty sketchy...MSNBC says that Milwaukee papers are reproting that the shooter was supposedly upset about a taped sermon from two weeks ago which predicted a "spiritual war" in the US. Do you have any info?
