Congressional Campaign
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 01:55 PM by bugslsu9
I am planning on running for the United States House of Representatives in the 1st Congressional District of Wisconsin in 2006. I have thought long and hard about this decision. Quite frankly, I feel it is time for a change in the 1st CD.

I will fight for all of the people in my district. I plan on putting the preservation of Social Security on the top of my campaign, along with health care, education, the budget deficit, and the environment.

My message will be positive. I will not campaign negatively. I will, however make sure that all of the people in the district are aware of Rep. Paul Ryan's voting record, and contrast that to my own beliefs.

I humbly ask for your help DU. I know I cannot do this alone, but together, we can make this important change. I can no longer sit by and watch as my interests, and the interests of all Wisconsinites, and, quite honestly, all Americans are tossed to the curb. I need your help. Please, if you would like to help, would like to know if you are in the 1st CD, or know of someone who can help me, please let me know. Send me a message, reply to this post, and help me help the people of Wisconsin.

Thank you for reading.

2. What area does that cover?
I have lots of relatives in Kenosha, and some in Milwaukee.
Unfortunately I live in St Louis, and cant get involved personally.

3. Basically
You go from the lake west, and then follow I43 southwest to the boarder. That is the district. In Milwaukee Co., Franklin, Greendale, Greenfield, Hales Corners, Oak Creek, and St. Francis (I believe, not positive abotu St. Francis) are in the district

I'm sick and tired of Ryan and I'm willing to do anything to get a progressive candidate elected in this district. Before I offer my time for your prospective run can you please tell me some of your positions on key isssues.

9. Good for you!!
I'm in the Milwaukee area, and I've already committed myself to help defeat Jim Senslessbrenner and Tom Reynolds, but I'm with you in spirit. And if there's anything I can do in terms of helping you network, just shout.

Congratulations!

Never Give Up.

11. Go bugslsu! Ryan definitely needs a good public ass kicking
I'm too far from the 1st CD to be much help, but if I have any cash in my pockets at the time you set up your campaign accounts, I'll be one of your first contributors.

:yourock:

I'm assuming you're running as a Dem. My first piece of advice, if you haven't done this already, is to contact the Dem Party of Wisconsin and let them know of your interest. I would hope that they have a few people they can get you in touch with in the CD and perhaps a list of campaign resources readily available. If they don't, the 1st CD Dem Party should. These organizations, though they can't run your campaign for you, are supposed to be there to help. Don't be afraid to ask or even gently insist that they do so.

13. Once you get a Web site set up, let me know
I'm in the 4th CD (Milwaukee) but I run a Web log with a statewide focus. I can put in a plug or two.

Good luck!
