Good News Locally

I teach in a school district with a repug-dominated, dim-witted school board. Our ex-union president (moved to a better-paying, more teacher-friendly, more student-friendly school district) , who lives in this district, ousted a dried-up, old, superintendent (teacher hater)-ass kissing incumbent. The incumbent went to local bars smearing the one running against him/her. She refused to debate the challenger, who would have kicked his/her ass. The challenger, a friend, sent out post cards stating her goals for this district, and they were excellent.
Also, another teacher's husband won a judgeship (circuit), and believe me, that's a good thing.


PLUS: Burmaster won!!!!! (2-to-1!!!!!)

and in most cases it's because of the repugs own smugness they don't think they can lose.It's happening everywhere you look.So much for the Bush mandate.
