I don't know the bars in the area enough to make suggestions. I think the general location is good -- fairly centralized for most all concerned. Now all we need is cheap beer.

And lots of it.

...it's always been an old-fashioned workingman's place, cheap beer. Atmosphere like no other place I've ever been in. I heard they're closing it soon so you better hurry...

That's too bad. I've never been there, but the article I read at OnMilwaukee.com made it sound like my type of joint.

On Edit: Yet another reason to despise Walgreen's. That's why their tearing down the National Liquor Bar, even though there's already a Walgreen's a block away.
