Candidacy Announcement

On Sunday, August 7th, I will officially announce my candidacy for the United States House of Representatives. All of you on DU, are cordially invited, and please, bring friends. The more the merrier! The announcement will be held at Janesville PArker High School at 2:00 PM. If you want more information, pm me, and I will fill you in on the rest of the details.

Together we can take back Congress, one seat at a time!

They didn't read your release. They said you had announced and then they did a bit of a bio (age, hometown, background, etc) and then finished with a statement by you (probably from your press release) about why you're running. It was really well done and more than the average quick statistical blurb.

I know it's early, but you may want to start recruiting media watchers for your campaign. Go to your county party meetings and get people across the district to watch newspapers, tv and radio for what is being said about you and your opponent so you can either build on it or react to it in a timely and appropriate fashion.

I'd be there if I could, but I have a prior obligation. Just know that I'm with you in spirit!!
