When did cbc.ca start having ads?

Maybe they've done it for a long time and I'm just not observant, but I don't recall seeing ads on www.cbc.ca prior to today.

I didn't notice any--but then again in Windows I use Proxomitron with the AdBlock extension for Firefox, so I see very few ads.

I see prominent coverage of the Pope show, which leads one to ask the question as to whether the CBC should be funding and producing propaganda for the Catholic faithful--not really part of their mandate.
