More Con stupidity

Some MP named "Lunney" from Nanaimo was on the news tonight. IN his riding some kids beat another one badly with a baseball bat. The community is pissed they were released on bail. So, when asked about it all Lunney says, "Well, they should have been held in custody until their June court date. So that they could have thought about what they've done."
Yeah, so innocent until proven guilty has no meaning anymore?
Okay, okay, these kids likely did it, the evidence is overwhelming. But the purpose of a bail hearing is to determine if you're a flight risk, not if you need to be pre-punished for the crime you haven't even been convicted of yet.
Good to see the cons think manipulating the justice system by using holding centres as prisons for people who haven't been convicted yet is acceptable.
Where does the line get drawn? Fucking idiots.
