participation and seeing as cavebear is "new" to posting, a welcome seemed appropriate. I lurked for a bit before posting yet received a welcome when I finally started and it was much appreciated.

Living in Emerson's riding, I appreciate the feisty forum.
And while I've been lurking here for some time, yours is the first welcome message I've received.

as your rep. given his betrayal of the voters. I have recently moved to the northern version of Texas aka Alberta and it is.....interesting....to say the least, lol.

I'm definitely not a lefty in the Canadian political spectrum since I've always voted Liberal or Conservative, but in the American spectrum I'm certainly to the left of centre. My wife is American and a solid Democrat voter. Although she's an American democrat she finds that Torontonians are often rude and condescending when they find out that she's American.

I take an interest in American politics primarily because of my wife and the fact that I could end up living there some day, although we would certainly avoid the red areas.

I tend to be a social liberal and I'm more fiscally conservative. Living in the riding of Toronto Centre Rosedale (the southern part, Corktown to be exact), I'm definitely to the right than most of the people in my riding.

I was born in the Netrherlands but have spent the last 24 years in Canada, so I'm not as canuck as some of you. I don't care all that much for hockey and really prefer soccer.

Native Texan here married to an Albertan.

We've finally put Project "Get the Fuck Out of Here" into serious operation. Have only $1000 left to pay on our car, and are trying to fix the house up as much as possible to make a run for the border, hopefully sometime in 2007.

Canadian forum. I wish there were a larger Canadian group as I really like the format of this board.

I kind of feel like a foreigner because they won't let me vote anymore. They say I've been away too long. Coming back home for two months every summer isn't enough to qualify.
