CTV: Liberals accuse PM of enjoying 'Patronage Pork'

During Tuesday's Question Period in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Stephen Harper felt some of the scrutiny he was quick to apply during his years in the opposition.

Today the federal Liberals claimed Government cronyism, suggesting the Conservatives have a taste for "patronage pork."

The new Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, Barbara Hagerman, is married to a personal friend of the PM, according to Liberal Wayne Easter. The opposition contends Hagerman worked on Stephen Harper's campaign.

Harper defended Barbara Hagerman's appointment, saying she is fully qualified for the position, "and this disgraceful attack on her is nothing but cheap partisan politics."
