It's been about ten months since The Honourable Thomas Braidwood, Q.C. opened the first stage of a public inquiry in Vancouver. His goal: to examine the safety of Tasers, and the death of a Polish immigrant named Robert Dziekanski.
Over the past few weeks, the four RCMP officers who shot Mr. Dziekanski with their Taser guns have been on the hotseat, but we don't seem to be much closer to understanding why they fired their weapons.
Ian Mulgrew has been following the inquiry for The Vancouver Sun, where he's a columnist.
