Canadians gather aid for Asian quake victims
Ottawa — Canadians rallied to arrange emergency aid while waiting for news of family members caught in a devastating earthquake that rocked tourist beaches and fishing villages from Thailand to India on Boxing Day.

Ottawa promsed an initial aid contribution of $1-million, while the Canadian Red Cross, UNICEF World Vision, Oxfam and other agencies called for cash donations to support their relief efforts.

2. It looks like we have upped it to 4 million immediate help...
with the door open for more once the needs are identified. I think it is a good start.
