Canada's RW nutjob poster child MP Rob Anders to the troops: When in doubt, pull the trigger.

Calgary West MP Rob Anders is coming under fire for a note he left for Canadian troops that says: "When in doubt, pull the trigger." A Christian group asked if a large "Support Our Troops" card could be placed in the House of Commons lobby for MPs to sign, a request agreed to by all parties. Many MPs have signed the card over the last couple of days. Anders signed it: "When in doubt, pull the trigger. Rob Anders, Calgary West."



I guess this shouldn't be a surprise from someone who:

- worked for the Republican Party on James Inhofe's 1994 Senate campaign
- was the only MP to vote against making Nelson Mandela an honourary Canadian Citizen in 2001, saying he was a communist and a terrorist

Thanks Calgary, for continually re-electing this ass-wipe.

I hate that all parties agreed to have a big card in the HoC.

Once again, we see what I know all too well from living in the US:

Supporting troops (i.e., supporting war), talk about them glowingly = normal, non-political speech

Questioning sending troops somewhere or questioning actions of troops = political speech that poisons the public air
