Bush to host Israeli PM at Crawford ranch

JENNIFER LOVEN
ASSOCIATED PRESS

WASHINGTON — President Bush has invited Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to his Texas ranch in mid-April to help advance the Middle East peace process, a senior administration official said today.

/snip/

Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin are scheduled to visit Wednesday.

Bush plans to hold working sessions with Fox and Martin at Baylor University in nearby Waco, Texas, and host a lunch for them at his ranch, where he will be taking an Easter break."

Just a lunch mind ya - -

4. At least Martin got out of a visit by Rice. That is worth celebrating.
The thing with Martin is he has run a shipping company for eons... So he knows a thing or two about being a successful businessman. Something neither Bush or Rove do.

I think Martin can handle himself. All he has to say if they try and browbeat him on Missile Defense is - more than half the country didn't want it and I have a minority government.

They cannot ask more from him without making it plainly obvious they want Martin to wedge himself on some shoal and destroy the 150 year relationship with the Liberals & Quebec.

For someone who ran ships all over the world for 20 years.. the wedging issues should be pretty obvious.

Just as long as Martin refuses to sign any agreement without first 'showing it to cabinet' the better. You know we do not have an executive branch in Canada. The PM has to be responsive to his party members at all time.

6. It's a fait accompli then
Same thing happened when our weasel PM got duchessed at The Ranch. Came back totally obsessed with crawling up to Bush. No wait a minute, he was already so far up Bush's backside they had to pull him out by his ankles. No strike my comments, Martin might be able to resist after all.
