Heads up if you get Doc Channel (Canada):
"Outfoxed" is airing on IFC and the Documentary Channel a few times next week...catch it if you haven't yet seen it.

2. help!
I get IFC but not the Doc channel.

I've searched IFC's schedule up to May 11 -- http://www.ifctv.ca -- but I can't find it. Do you happen to know when it's airing?

My next door neighbour has the Doc channel, so I can always try to figure out how to make her VCR tape ... she's a luddite and it's an antique ...

The Doc channel -- http://www.documentarychannel.ca -- won't let me look at a schedule beyond May 2 (and there's no search function on either site), and I can't find it there either.

Any details gratefully accepted!

In other news ... MPix is airing a Hitchcock fest on May 24th weekend. Mostly the oldies, although not quite all of them (Saboteur but not Sabotage, for instance).

CanCon: didya know that The 39 Steps (Hitchcock, 1935; I think it's the first flic in the MPix lineup) was based on the book by John Buchan -- who was Lord Tweedsmuir, Governor General of Canada 1935-1940, and initiated the Governor General's Literary Awards? It makes a lot of top 10 British movie lists.

Another version of the story, 1957 I think, completely changed the plot. And huh, there's a 1978 version too, with John Mills, and Robert Powell playing the Canadian hero; haven't seen that one.
