2. Brilliant stuff. Best radio show since Alan Partridge.
Just a shame the series aren't longer, but I guess it must be hard to keep up the high standard.

4. Re: Chav, and its appearance as a word
I've only heard it in the last couple of months, which puts me a few months behind, it seems. Trying to find the derivation of it on the net, and having gone trough loads of descriptions of trashy jewelry, "often purchased from Argos", I found this as the result of a Google search for 'chav' - it seems someone (their website programmer?) has a sense of humour:

Shop for "CHAV" at Argos

You searched for "CHAV"

we didn't find a match for CHAV, but we did find related matches listed below.
These are the matches for "CHAV".
Jewellery and watches (76) Gifts (2) Furniture (2) Customer Services (1)

5. Hehe...
It's a strange thing...

I too must have missed the national memo on the word, it all kicked off for me with the following article from The Register, which also notes your Argos discovery and gives the party-pooping explanation.

6. If you liked that, you'll love the new Goldie Looking Chain single....
"I bought you this necklace, it cost me 12 pound
from argos, elizabeth duke
baby you're the sky-walker to my luke
the darth to the vader
flip over the cross fader
I'll serenade you with a bag of space raiders
or walkers or smiths or maybe even quavers
cos my love for you is like drugs for ravers
with glo-sticks and funny hats on
I loves you more than I loves my bong"

Screaming geniuses.
