Those evil Bush-haters at the BBC are at it again
http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2005/10_october/06/bush.shtml

-snip-
President George W. Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State, a new BBC series reveals.

In Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, a major three-part series on BBC TWO (at 9.00pm on Monday 10, Monday 17 and Monday 24 October), Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did.
-snip-

So, Bush is basically what... psychotic?

7. Wow, that's ironic...
Isn't Osama Bin Laden on a "mission from God", as well?

And, I could be wrong, but I thought that Bush is elected and works for the people of the United States - I hadn't realized that we had turned in to a theocracy *yet*!

9. As I understand it,
many in the US believe it was the will of their god that the Chimp reigns supreme, preferably over the whole world. One Nation Under God with Bush as the Anointed One. He doesn't work for you, you're all doing god's will. Except Libruls, and you're all going to Hell, forever, anyway.

Note - Bin Laden's is a different god. He doesn't like Christians. Bush's god doesn't like anyone except bigots and halfwits. Blair's god is smarter, he doesn't tell Tony much in case it gets leaked to the BBC. Or The Guardian, I suppose.

11. Remember this:
"George Bush was not elected by a majority of voters in the United States," Gen. Boykin told an Oregon congregation in a moment of biblical clarity five months ago. "He was appointed by God."

(he's the deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence)

10. Jake and Elwood were on a mission from God, too
They were a damn sight cooler, and I suspect even John Belushi would have made a better president.

If Thomas Jefferson were around today, he wouldn't stand a chance of being elected. America needs to stop praying and get up off its knees.

8. A few days ago, they showed hundreds of brand new mobile
homes, already fitted with gas, water and electricity, just waiting for their use by New Orleans people made homeless. Likewise, cruise ships waiting to accommodate them.

Then they showed the homeless souls waiting around at collection points. Why does the BBC hate America!

13. Well if that's the case
Then how come so many denominations, including the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church and the very one that George Bush is a member of (United Methodist if I'm not mistaken) opposed the Iraq war?
