Little Britain turns its back on Blair

Tony Blair has been turned down for a cameo role in hit BBC comedy Little Britain.

The prime minister was snubbed by comics Matt Lucas and David Walliams who believed it could have left them open to accusations of political bias.

According to Heat magazine, Mr Blair wanted to play the part of Little Britain's dashing fictional prime minister - usually played by Anthony Head - as part of Comic Relief.
