Newsnight needs to get a grip

When they have a story about juveniles in Guantanamo bay on the show, to open with 20 minutes about Michael fucking Jackson is obscene.

1. The BBC has gone nuts over Jackson

News 24 had hours of live feed from the US, this morning Today has led on it and had lots of repetitive, vapid interviews - you'd think it was the most important thing to have happened anywhere, ever. The print media are leading with it too.

Meanwhile, where's appropriate coverage of the Downing Street Memos and related stories?

4. Isn't Jackson ... er ... black-ish ?

BTW heard on TV that one of Jackson's future plans may be a Theme Park in Africa. I'm trying not to think too hard about that one.
