Travelling around Europe for three weeks.
Hello there, Democrats Abroad forum.

About a month and a half back I got laid off from my job in the UK (I was a US citizen there on a work permit.) So I've decided that before I return to the US I'd like to do some travelling around Europe. The scope of the tour will probably be starting in Amsterdam at the end of my month, then slowly working my way down towards Rome, where I need to be around 14th February. There are some obvious stops that I'd like to make (Rotterdam, Bruges, Paris, maybe Madrid and/or Barcelona) but I'm up for suggestions for cool things to see on that sort of arc stretching from the Netherlands to Italy.

I'm also up for a beer (or wine, or coffee depending on the location) as I go along the route. If you have any suggestions, or if you'd like to meet up, that would be awesome.

Cheers

-Yibbe

Two hours north of Barcelona.. Should you pass us by, give a PM.. The Cote Vermeille is the northern Extension of the Costa Brava.. Toulouse, 90 miles away has a large Democrats abroad group.. Our nearby town of Collioure is a gem. Our favorite town in France. Also , a worthy stop.. Figueras , Spain. The Dali Museum is a must see.

2. Don't miss Barcelona!!
I went to school there for a while. That town will absolutely blow you away.

Also, it's not on your arc, but don't miss Prague, either!!!!

I'm near Düsseldorf when I'm not on assignment elsewhere (which is usually always).

If you ever visit Berlin I would be glad to give you a tour.
It's a wonderful city, and the remnants of the recent past are still so evident...
