Turnbull Seeks Privatisation of City Water Supplies.
Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 01:23 AM by Matilda
The parliamentary secretary for water, Malcolm Turnbull, has told a Melbourne conference the privatisation of Australia's water supply will solve city water shortages.

Mr Turnbull told the conference the water industry must be opened to full private investment and ownership.

As soon as Howard announced his appointment, I wondered how long it would take for the p-word to
be uttered.

I hope this statement meets with the outrage it deserves. Rationing of water - fine; paying more -
okay, but it should never, ever fall into the hands of private companies.

I'm so sick of these trolls.

Edit to add: Note that there's no mention of rural areas paying for water - can't hurt their
coalition partners.
